Inside sales/Business development
Generation of new business that is profitable and sustainable.
Responsibilities include:
- Prospect for new business in those segments that are targeted.
- Foster better and more active relationships with customers to increase and optimize their business with AMPCO®.
- Interact directly with customer to offer quotes, follow up on quotes, accept orders.
- Continually provide feedback on sales opportunities to Outside Sales.
- Coordinate with warehouse operations personnel to ensure the delivery of customer orders on a timely basis, and with the highest possible level of quality.
- Interact with producing mill when necessary to meet customer demands for non-stock items and made to order alloys
Requirements:
- Successful candidate must have above average skills in the areas of communication (oral and written).
- Must be computer literate.
- 5 years minimum experience in sales of copper bas alloys
Desired:
- Fluency in Spanish or Chinese or any European language a plus.

- B. S. Degree in Metallurgy
- Advance Metallurgical or mechanical engineering degree a plus
- 2-3 years work experience in manufacturing environment dealing with copper base alloys.
- Knowledge of copper base alloy heat treatments as well as forging, centrifugal casting and continuous casting
- Good organization skills; fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese is a plus. Must be able to communicate in English
- Basic knowledge of computer, Excel, Word, Power point
- Possess active and optimistic personality
